DC Fuses

DC fuses are essential safety devices in Direct Current systems like electric vehicles (EVs), solar (PV) setups, and battery storage, protecting against overcurrents/short circuits by melting to break the circuit, preventing damage, overheating, and fires, by stopping excessive current flow before it harms sensitive components, using specialized designs (arc chutes, silica) to handle the difficulty of interrupting DC arcs compared to AC.
